 Source  Dried rhizome of Sophora tonkinensis Gapnep.
 Ingredients  Alkaloid, Flavonoids
 Pharma Effect  1) Anti-neoplastic effect: injection of the herbal extract has an inhibiting effect on formation of various tumors in lab experiments. 2) Anti-viral and antipyretic effect: the ingredients have demonstrated obvious anti-viral effects.
 Properties  Bitter, cold, toxic
 Channels  Lungs, stomach
 Function  Clears heat, relieves toxicity, soothes throat, reduces swellings, alleviates pain and can be used as a pesticide.
 Clinic Usage  For treatment of sudden swelling and pain of the throat, retropharyngeal abscess, toothache, swollen gum, wheezing and coughing due to heat, laryngocarcinoma, lung cancer, snake or spider bites and ulcers due to hemorrhoids.
 Cautions  Use with caution in cases of cold deficiency in stomach and spleen or with diarrhea symptoms.
 Dosage  3~6g.
 Storage  Store in a dry, well-ventilated place.
