Function	Releases heat, disperses clumps, dispels wind-heat, expands the lungs, vents rashes, reduces edema and relieves toxicity.
Clinic Usage	For externally contracted wind-heat, coughing, rashes that do not surface evenly, measles, swollen and sore throat, carbuncles and mumps.
Cautions	This herb moistens the intestines. It is contraindicated in cases of qi deficiency and diarrhea.
