Grown	Anhui and Shandong of China.
Source	Root bark of Paeonia suffruticosa Andr.
Ingredients	Paeonol, volatile oil
Pharma Effect	1) This herb has calmed overly excited laboratory animals. 2) May lower blood pressure and has antiseptic property.
Properties	Bitter, acrid, slightly cold
Channels	Heart, liver, kidney
Function	Clears heat, soothes irritability, generates saliva and promotes urination.
Clinic Usage	For febrile disease with eruptions, blood expectoration, nosebleeds, yin deficiency with internal heat, painful menstruation, amenorrhea, ulcers and internal abscess.
Cautions	Not suitable for blood deficiency with cold, pregnancy or menorrhagia.
Dosage	6~12g. Use proper amount externally.
Storage	Store in a clean, dry place.
