 Grown  Throughout China, Korea and Japan.
 Source  The dired, skinless bulb root of Pueraria lobata(Willd.) Ohwi or P. montana(L.)Merr.
 Ingredients  Isoflavone derivatives, Puerarin, Daidzein, Daidzin and starch.
 Pharma Effect  1) Effect on temperature regulation: the powder or liquid extract significantly reduces fever of rabbits. The effect sustains 4-5 hours. 2) Effect on smooth muscle: daidzein has an antispasmodic effect on small white mouse intestine similar to that of pap
 Properties  Sweet, acrid, cold.
 Channels  Spleen, stomach
 Function  Relieves muscle, reduces heat, vents rashes, stops diarrhea, generates fluids and quenches thirst.
 Clinic Usage  For injury from cold and warm-febrile disease. For treatment of symptoms such as headache, stiff neck, irritable, thirst, diarrhea, dysenteric disorder, measles with incomplete presentation of rash, hypertension, angina pectoris and diminished hearing.
 Cautions  Contraindicated in cases of profuse sweating in summer due to qi deficiency.
 Dosage  9~15g. Roast the herb till yellow for diarrhea treatment.
 Storage  Store in a dry, well ventilated place. Protect from worm infestation.
