Pharma Effect	Has effects of alleviating coughing, expelling phlegm, lowering blood pressure, elevating glucose, relaxing intestines and stimulating uterus.
Properties	Bitter, sweet, slightly cold

Function	Transforms phlegm, clears heat, moistens lung and dispels stasis.
Clinic Usage	For coughing due to external contracted virus, swollen and painful throat, pulmonary abscess, a stifling sensation in the chest, painful rib cage, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Helps expel phlegm and pus.
Cautions	Do not use with Radix Aconiti(wu tou).
Dosage	3~6g. 1~2g to use in powders.
Storage	Store in a dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from worm infestation.
