Properties	Bitter, sweet, astringent, slightly cold
Channels	Lung, liver, stomach
Function	Astringent application for the lung (arrests persistent coughing and asthma), stops bleeding, regenerates tissue and reduces swellings.
Clinic Usage	For lung or stomach bleeding, nosebleed, bleeding due to traumatic injury or operations, carbuncles, toxic swellings, ulcers, burns, and cracked skin of hand and foot.
Cautions	Contraindicated in cases of coughed-up blood caused by epidemic, early stage pulmonary abscess, and stomach presenting excessive heat.
Dosage	6~15g. To intake in powders, 3~6g per dosage. Use proper amount for external application.
Storage	Store in a dry place. Avoid dampness. (Expose in sunshine frequently during summer.)
