 Source  The dried leaf of Artemisia argyi Levl. et Vant. and its family.
 Ingredients  P-Cymene, ?-Thujene, Azulene, Fernenol, Psilostachyin
 Pharma Effect  A large dosage of the herb solution has an inhibitory effect on intestines of rabbits and hearts of leeches. 20 mg/kg of solution lowers blood pressure. This effect is not influenced by atropine. It also has a strong inhibitory effect on capillary permeab
 Properties  Acrid, bitter, warm, slightly toxic
 Channels  Liver, spleen, kidney
 Function  Warms channels, stops bleeding, regulates qi, calms fetus, dispels cold and dampness, warms uterus, warms middle and relieves stagnation.
 Clinic Usage  Mugwort floss has the effect of promoting flow of qi by warming channels. It is primarily used in acupuncture for abdominal pain due to cold deficiency, menorrhagia, blood in urine, painful menstruation, restless fetus and abscess or ulcerated sores.
 Cautions  Use with caution in cases of yin deficiency and heat in blood.
 Dosage  3~9g. Proper amount for external use. Primarily used for acupuncture or fumigation.
 Storage  Store in a cool, dry place.
