Pharma Effect	Steamed vapor of the herb can stimulate respiratory tract and increase its secretion. Can be used for treatment of bronchitis to dispel phlegm. Can also be used as an antiseptic.
Properties	Acrid, bitter, neutral
Channels	Spleen, heart
Function	Opens orifices, dispels filth, warms kidney and promotes movement of qi.
Clinic Usage	For sudden loss of consciousness, pain in the heart and chest, postpartum blood stasis, children's abdominal pain, convulsions, traumatic injuries, ulcers and filthy wounds.
Cautions	Use with caution for yin deficiency with strong fire signs.
Dosage	0.6~1.5g. Generally in pills and powders.
Storage	Store in a cool, dry place.
